The Civic Theatre is primarily a receiving venue for professional productions of contemporary Irish and international work in theatre, dance, opera, music and youth drama.

The Civic Theatre produces its own productions and co-produces on a regular basis with other non venue based companies. These productions then tour to other receiving venues throughout Ireland and sometimes abroad. The Loose End Studio is also available for new and innovative productions from emerging theatre companies.

Tenderfoot is now an integral part of our annual calendar. It’s aim is to provide interested transition year students in the South Dublin County region with an opportunity to learn about theatre in a hands on way. The working ethos is one of apprenticeship. Learn by doing. Learn by working with experts in their field. For more information visit
