Young at Art is a children’s arts charity and organiser of the Belfast Children’s Festival. Set up in 1998, its mission is to make life for children and young people from 0 – 18 years as creative as possible through engagement with the arts. It does this through an annual international festival and a year-round programme of outreach and development work, including touring and workshop programmes, partnerships and new commissions.
Young at Art has extensive experience of project management, delivering 13 international festivals since 1998 as well as numerous outreach and development projects, international conferences and training programme and touring projects. It has worked throughout the greater Belfast area, across Northern Ireland and internationally and has experience of working with a range of groups and individuals: children, young people, adults, schools, playgroups, youth clubs, community groups, residents’ association.
Young at Art has aimed to enrich the cultural life in Northern Ireland artistically, socially and economically through increasing participation in and access to the arts for children and young people.
