Rooted in stories and social observations, both absurd and real, we initiate a process of aural and physical exploration on the platform, starting with just ‘the movement of body in space’, resulting in strong visual story-telling and new writing. Also through long-term qualitative engagement with non-experienced performers, we explore subjects of people, places and identities, creating inter-media performance installations, often location specific. outlandishtheatre platform is a ‘place’ where the boundaries of the theatrical and the real are tested, where performers can be theatre makers, writers can be directors and citizens can be performers.
