Founded by John Scott, described by TANZ magazine as ‘Beckett meets Monty Python’. Scott creates his work in a country more known for text based drama and narrative theatre. Works range in size from solos to 15 dancers. Scott’s performers range from Cunningham and Forsythe, virtuosos to African Torture Survivors, with whom he has created several unique works, the most famous being ‘Fall and Recover’. Recent works include ‘LEAR’, with Valda Setterfield, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, London, New York Live Arts, Dance Base Edinburgh, Kilkenny Arts Festival, and ‘Quad’ in collaboration with Pan Pan Theatre, Dublin Dance Festival/Beckett Summer School. ‘HYPERACTIVE, La MaMa Moves Dance Festival/Galway Arts Festival, Dublin Dance Festival, ‘Actions’, Kennedy Center, Washington, Edinburgh Fringe, Queer Zagreb and Merce Cunningham’s ‘Night Wandering’/‘Totem Ancestor’ Festival d’Automne/Theatre de la Ville, Paris. Also presents Dancer from the Dance Festival in Dublin and New York.

Touring Policy

Tours regularly to New York – venues include New York Live Arts, La MaMa, PS122, Danspace Project at Saint Mark’s Church, New York, Kennedy Center and Dance Place, Washington, Philadelphia Dance Project. Other tours include Dance Base, Edinburgh, Les Hivernales, Avignon, Schwankhalle, Tanzmesse, Germany, Queer Zagreb, Croatia, Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, Kanuti Guildi SAAL, Estonia and performances in Brazil and the Middle East.
